I love seeing my hats on the little people I make them for! I love the act of knitting and feeling the yarn in my hands. At the end of the day, I love to snuggle in a blanket and just knit!

Company Information:

My name is Lisa and started Petite Tuques after my pregnancy with my first child jumped-started my creativity. I learned many years ago how to knit, but had to re-learn a few techniques when I started up again. I can make almost anything with yarn, but I chose to sell hats and accessories because they are fast to make. I’m always looking different patterns in my knitting books. Then I try to implement them into my designs. The one book that helped me immensely is The Sweater Workshop by Jacqueline Fee. I learned how to knit in the round and that’s how I make my Chic Tuques. I make my hats now with merino wool and cotton, but I hope in the future to bring other yarns, like Bamboo and Alpaca into my designs. My boys are my models, so I make boyish styles first and then I work on girl colors. Most of Adult designs have been custom orders but I love Twilight and have a few items for the Fans.
